Hiking the Soberania National Park
Pipeline road and Plantation trail
Historic Gamboa neighborhood
This tour is perfect for nature lovers and those looking to experience and learn about the tropical rainforest, nature, and wild life of Panama.
The visit to the Soberania National Park includes a nature guide that will provide the visitor with information about natural history of the park and trails. There will also be an interpretative explanation about the different interactions that take place in the rainforest.
Soberania offers an incredible glance at the local biodiversity of flora and fauna, being a refuge of almost 50% of all the bird and mammal species found in Panama. From the variety of bird species such as trogons, motmots and tucans; to an array of mammals such as monkeys, agoutis, and two and three-toed sloths; to the unique insects, amphibians, trees, and plants.
Arriving to the park, your guide will take you to Plantation trail and the Pipe-Line road, that will take about 2 hours of hiking on each trail (with a break in between each trail, and also during the hike).
In addition, a visit to the nearby historic Gamboa neighborhood and Panama Canal are also in close proximity for visitors to observe.
